1. The perfect base
We recommend you pre-lighten your hair before dyeing for the best results (see how to bleach your hair before colouring).


2. Choose your colour
Do a strand test to ensure the colour is what you want before dyeing your whole head. Always take into account the base colour of your hair (see dyeing with the colour wheel).


3. Preapre your hair
Wash your hair with Holyplex cleansing shampoo and towel dry (if you haven’t bleached your hair beforehand).


4. Prepare your surroundings
Prepare your surroundings by covering anything you don’t want to stain, and wear an old T-shirt.


5. Mix the perfect colour
You can use the dye straight from the pot, or mix with any of the other colours for a unique creation.


6. Apply evenly
Part your hair in 4 sections. Use an application brush and/or your gloved hands and generously apply to your hair. Start at the roots and apply in small sections, making sure each hair is covered. We recommend 2 pots for long/thick hair.


7. Let it process
Wait at least 30 minutes for the dye to set. Because our dyes contain nourishing conditioner, there is no maximum processing time.


8. Wash out the dye
Rinse with cold or lukewarm water until the water runs clear.


9. Lock your colour
Set your new colour with the Holyplex finishing spray on towel-dry hair and comb through.


TIP: Maintaining the colour
Only wash your hair after at least 48 hours of dyeing to help protect your new colour. Use the Holyplex shampoo, conditioner and finishing spray after each wash to maintain your colour.


How long does it last?
Most of our dyes last 4 - 8 weeks depending on the base colour and hair health.


TIP: Refresh your colour
You can mix any leftover dye with your conditioner to boost your colour between dyeing.
