DIY Xmas Lights
Tutorial
To many empty hair dye pots laying around and you don't want to throw them away, but you already have too many you've used as containers and don't need more? Let's DIY them into a more Attitude Christmas decoration.
1. Start off by washing out as much dye as possible from all of your empty containers. Don't worry, the dye is non-toxic for water streams and easily cleans out with a few rinses and using your finger or a towel to remove stubborn bits. Depending on the dye colour, the pot may be stained, but this just adds colour to the end result :)

2. Remove the moisture seal from the inside of the lid and the sticker from the top of the lid. Nails or a thin tool may be needed for this step ;)

3. Choose your lights! I chose coloured lights to match the colourfulness of Attitude, but you can also use regular warm lights or even ones with a sparkling option.

4. Use a drill (or any preferred method of hole-making) and make a hole in the center of the lid that's the same size as your christmas lights. Try it out first on a piece of cardboard or your first lid to see if the light fits. The smaller, the better! Repeat this step for all of your lids.

5. Stick a light into each lid through the hole. Play around with the distance between each lid; I did one every other light, but if you don't have that many lids or a longer light strand, spacing it out per 3 or 4 might look better. Once you're satisfied with the placement, secure them with a bit of glue around the light. Leave to dry overnight to ensure it's secure enough to hang the next day
*note: I used superglue, but this ended up somehow making the plastic have a foggy/chalky look. To prevent this, it may be better to use a less harsh glue. Hot glue might work easier, just be careful with the heat near the wires and the plastic protecting the wires.

6. Twist your clear containers back onto their lids! Now it's all ready to hang up on your wall or in the tree. Enjoy :) See the full process video here.
